Racial Justice

Too often, stereotypes, biases, and racial power dynamics are deeply rooted in our justice system. Since the YWCA’s intersectional mission is to eliminate racism and empower women, advocating against oppression is our purpose. We recognize the interconnected experience these historically marginalized groups and individuals have endured. The discrimination and disadvantages these women face, is why our goal is to eliminate policies and practices that criminalize people of color.
